English Reading Competition for Year 7 students

Our school’s Year 7 English Reading Competition on July 10th once again showcased the excellent reading skills and enthusiasm of our students. Each Year 7 class nominated its two strongest readers to take part in the competition.

In the first round, the contestants read a prepared extract from a well-known English text. In the second round, they demonstrated their reading ability by tackling an unfamiliar passage. Their performances were judged on pronunciation, fluency, expression and intonation by a jury consisting of last year’s two winners, the head student, and a student from the advanced English course.

After a close and exciting competition, Kilian Öller (7b) achieved the highest overall score and was crowned this year’s winner. Sofia Hölzlberger (7d) finished in an excellent second place. Congratulations!

All participants showed great motivation and an impressive love of reading. Congratulations to the winners and well done to everyone who took part!
